Influencer marketing has generated a huge buzz in the past few years and according to marketing forecasts, should show an even greater increase in 2019. Marketing Companies in Los Angeles more and more are looking to influencers to grow visibility for their product.
Trends show that marketers will continue to look to engagement numbers to … influencers, however, they will increasingly use controversial influencers instead of safe options to grow their brand. Bigger corporations are more than ever, looking to move away from “brand-safe” influencers and engage more edgy personalities.
The face of influencer marketing will also likely get an overhaul. More so than ever before, we can expect influencers to include mainstream celebrities to create influencer content for social media outlets such as Instagram and YouTube. 2018 leveled the playing field for what was considered an “influencer”. Now, personalities from diverse backgrounds, such as sports, film, music industry, comedy are beginning to position themselves as influencers. We expect 2019 to continue in that direction.
Another interesting trend that we expect to develop further in 2019 is that of brands looking to create long-term relationships with influencers instead of the one-off partnerships that were typical of previous years.
We also expect there to be more creative collaboration between marketing companies, brands, and influencers, which we see as a nice development. Rather than the forced, contrived advertisements that have dominated influencer marketing thus far, we expect to see more creativity and influencer personality incorporated into the message.
Lastly, YouTube gaming videos are expected to continue to grow in popularity from 2018. YouTube is wrapping up its biggest year of gaming with over 200 million users and 60 billion hours of gaming watched. We expect the gaming community to continue to gain popularity as influencers in 2019.
